I was reminded of something at a teacher in-service today, that was a huge value of mine when I started in youth ministry and teaching. The only problem is that I realized that recently I haven't been living the way this belief should lead me to.
Kids don't care what you know, they want to know that you care.
We won't make a difference in kids lives if we can't show them we care about them.

Hi Tyler,
Hello from the UK. Just came across your blog. A good reminder to us all. 'Kids don't care what you know, they want to know that you care.' I agree totally. Effective youth ministry is really all about building relationships and a community in which to share the Gospel and nurture young believers. More about 'being' than 'doing.'
hey grahame,
I hope you stick around to join in the conversations around here. It's cool to talk with someone from across the pond.
