Dead Faith

Last Night at Real Youth, We talked about how our faith in Christ and our actions are connected. According to James 2:17, a faith without works is dead (useless), and I don't know about you, but I would prefer not to have a dead faith. The problem is, when I look around, there are a lot of us whose actions don't often reflect our faith, me included. God saved us to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). I kind of think that if that is what God saved me for, maybe that is what I should be doing. This is a tough one for some people to grasp. It is not our good works that save us, but our faith in Christ. The good we do should be due to our love for God, and wanting to please Him.

I'm sick and tired of proud Christians, who like to tell people about it, but won't lift a finger to help out someone in need.

So, let's start showing our faith by our actions, and do some of that work that God has prepared for us to do.
