Tanking

On Monday Real Youth went on a tanking trip down the Cedar River. This is our second year of it, and it has been great fun both times. However, due to costs, I think we're going to be looking elsewhere next year. If you've never done it, I really suggest trying it out at least once. Basically, everybody brings their coolers and lawn chairs that you set up in these big tanks that farmers use to water their cattle and horses, and float down the river in them. It's like lazy man's tubing. Our kids had a great time, and I'd be willing to bet that 90% went home fried to a crisp.

What kind of fun things do you do that are a little off the beaten path? I'm looking for some new fun ideas.
