Mark Batterson got this text message from a friend.
I'm sitting in a Reston Starbucks eavesdropping on an unchurched woman describing her experience at National Community Church on Saturday. She's used the word "awesome" over and over. Praise God.
I want people to talk about Northridge that way. I want people who don't even attend church to be talking about what we are doing. We have to find a way to get the unchurched interested in what we are doing. One simple thought, we need to do things exceptionally. We need to give our best to reach our community. Isn't that why we exist as a local church? If so, how could we give any less than everything we've got to reach our neighbors? With that in mind, how can we stick our to our community (in a good way)? Any ideas?
